You’re baby will be here soon, so it’s time to stock up on everything you will need. There are a number of sites and stores you can use to create your baby registry, but my personal favorite is Amazon. I used Amazon to create my entire baby registry!

Benefits of Amazon Baby Registry
I decided to register only on Amazon because it was so easy to manage everything all in one place. You can find nearly everything on Amazon. It made it easy on me and my friends and family to buy from.
Completion Discount
Once you register for everything you need and you have your baby shower if there are items left on the registry, Amazon will offer a 15% completion discount for up to 90-days after your due date. So, it’s a good idea to fill up your registry with things that you may or may not need. By this I mean, some times we forget to add items for mom like nursing pads, covers, or creams. You can also include baby toys, keepsakes, and albums. These items may be overlooked, but in some instances you may want them in the future.
Checklist & Shopping Guides
The Amazon Baby Registry breaks down into categories and subcategories that you can click into and browse available options. I loved this when registering since it made it so easy to know what I should be looking for. There is so much stuff that you need to prepare for baby and these breakdowns made it way less stress-inducing than trying to determine what I needed by myself.

1-Year Returns
Amazon offers 1-year returns for items purchased from your registry. This is great, because if you don’t like that baby carrier or high-chair you have a year to make the return.
Diaper Fund
A unique offering of the Amazon Baby Registry is adding a diaper fund. If you opt-in to this, your friends and family can contribute to your diaper fund up to a total of $550.
What Items are the Most Important?
There are some items like toys and keepsakes that are not necessarily the most important. You won’t necessarily need these items in order to care for your newborn. You should focus in items that will first help you in your day-to-day with baby. Items like, diaper cream, nose sucker, changing pad, strollers, feeding or nursing supplies, and nursery furniture.

Generally, I would exclude baby clothes unless there is something very specific that you want. People love buying baby clothes and whether you registry for them or not, people will buy you a bunch of clothes.
When registering you should also add items that you will need for the first year of your baby’s life. This includes high-chairs, plates, cups, and utensils that your baby will learn to use later.
Create Your Baby Registry
Now that you have a plan, it’s time to register. You can register on Amazon and opt-in to allow your registry to be added to to other sites like Babylist, and The Bump so more people can access your items. Enjoy 1-year returns, a 15% completion discount, and shopping guides to make this as stree-free as possible.
